Steve Coogan endorses Siân Berry in Brighton Pavilion

Academy award nominated actor, comedian, and screenwriter Steve Coogan has today endorsed Siân Berry’s candidacy for Brighton Pavilion.

Meeting a crowd of supporters in the Hanover area of the city today, Steve, who used to live in Brighton and still lives locally, said:

“Caroline Lucas did a great job for the City and in Parliament. It is my hope that Siân will be elected to carry on the good work. Greens are a force for good on key issues like the environment and also more recently on issues close to my heart like justice in Gaza, and standing up to the corporate national press. Greens also support electoral reform where all votes count and that’s why I am happy to endorse Siân Berry here in Brighton Pavilion.”

Siân Berry responded:

“I’m deeply honoured to have Steve’s endorsement. He is a real star, coming in and backing our campaign at this time. Brighton people are also stars for the support they are showing to me and my team each and every day. I am incredibly flattered to have Steve’s support. It shows how much our momentum is growing right now and into the next crucial days. Brighton voters have a win-win opportunity to keep our city strong, green and independent on July 4. I’ll continue to give my all in securing every last, vital, vote until then.”
